Vamp Stamp News Give-A-Way!

A truly amazing mail day today....not only did I get the very cool stamp set from Paperbag Studios but I got the April/May issue of Vamp Stamp News! This is a great little stamping magazine put together by Nancie Waterman. Each month she features a "Product Pick(s)", "Experimentation" - playing with various techniques (including directions) and the results, as well as "Quick Tips & Ideas" submitted by readers and much more! If you haven't checked it out you should definitely find a copy and see for yourself.

Now, normally just getting a new stamping magazine in the mail would be considered a great mail day but this issue was made extra special because I have 6 cards and step by step Ink Blending Tool Techniques included!!! Gotta love that Ink Blending Tool ;) LOL!!!

As an extra little gift Nancie sent me an extra copy of the issue that I'd like to share with one of you!! Simply post which Ink Blending Technique is your favorite. The list of the techniques and links to each post are in the area to the right hand side. You have until May 3rd to post at which time I'll choose the winner using Random.org! The winner will receive not only the April/May issue of Vamp Stamp News but a few cards I've made using the Ink Blending Tool :)

So, Go check out Vamp Stamp News and be sure to post your favorite Ink Blending Tool Technique :) You might just be the lucky winner!!

  3. Well, I really thought it couldn't get any better than technique #6: Masking Made Easy! (I even have an example of this on the back of one of the ATC's I am mailing you, Roni.)
But then you showed me technique #9: Distressed Stamping and that one just took everything I love to do to the next level. So, yup - that's my favorite. I love the whole multi-media thing - stamping with acrylic paint for dimension and bold, opaque color and then going back over it to shade and highlight with inks. That is just the coolest thing in my book.

Awesome series and congrats for being published (again - *smile*)!

  6. Way to go Roni!Thank goodness the world is finally recognizing your talents, LOL!
As for my favorite ink blending technique, that has to be the burnt edges. That technique would go so well with so many different stamp styles. I can see it with vintage, world-travel, edgy, eclectic...and on and on.

  7. I love Vamp Stamp news but I can't subscribe to it online I was told. So I miss getting it. I am housebound, disabled on an oxygen machine. Our LSS went out of business 2 years ago so there is no where for my husband to pick it up locally. I will say that I did love the magazine and I just adore ink techniques. I am limited in what I can use because of my lung diseases so the many styles of inks and techniques are something that I love to do. Lately I have been using a new perfect resist that I purchased online from i brake for stamps, and I love to sponge, brayer or use direct to paper inks over it, nothing permanent so the resist will come through, and the images are easy for me and gorgeous. I just have to wipe the resist part off with a damp q tip or paper towel and the sparkling white image comes through the inks that I've used. To top it off I even love to brayer Opalite inks over the whole piece when it is done, that does not block the resist and it makes it sparkling and pretty! You have a great site. It's nice for someone like me who can't get out and stamp alone, to learn and see what others do. I am a bit unsure and shy about writing but I am trying this blogging site listing thing out which is new to me and wonderful! Thank You.

  8. Hi Donna :)

I am in the same boat not having a stamp store close by so most everything I use is bought on line as well.

I do have some great news for you though!! You CAN subscribe to VSN on line in a sense. You can go to the web-site and print off the order form here.... http://www.vampstampnews.com/sub.html Mail in your payment along with the form and it will be delivered right to your door!! That's what I ended up doing because I couldn't find it anywhere locally either. It's nice not to have to worry about trying to find it anymore because inevitably I never could.

    Have fun inking!!

I loved all yout tutorials and to pick one I loved the Ink blending technique #2-Monochromatic gradient and gradient bording.

Because of loving all your style and technique tutorials I searched for the Adirondack ink dye and purchased a few of it I bought the same colors you used for the sample and hopefully It will be shipped to me by end of May.
